in the shade

With 10 days until my big debut as a salvage artist, I have been working out some of the small details of the fest. Money, transportation and shelter. It has been suggested to me, several times, that it is much more enjoyable for all in your booth if you have some sort of cover, like a vendor tent.

If you haven't priced them...they are not cheap. The EZ tents, that you see in most art fairs are great, but several hundreds of dollars. I looked into renting and Craigslist to buy used, but came up empty and was getting a little concerned until I see this option at my Menards today. Perfect. It is 10 X 10 (standard booth size), lightweight, green in color and best of all $22.00 !!! What a steal. If I decide to go legit and do some serious fairs, I would need to get a white one (most require that), but this one will fit the bill for the event AND we can even use on our back patio for entertaining. Not quite the teak pergola with climbing clematis that I had envisioned, but a sub for now.

Regarding the auction...here is a picture from the street. The mosaic window is up to $75 (woo-hoo). That is $75 going straight to the humane society ! Happy, happy puppies.

Big reveal post tomorrow with multiple transformations. Have a glorious sunny summer day.
