Wouldn't you be the hostess with the mostess rolling this foodie inspired cart around at your next cocktail party.
Its origins....quite bleak. Found curbside in my neighborhood, this patio cart had only one piece of glass, chipped paint and a missing wheel. Besides that...it was perfect. The swan was definitely inside.
First the wheels, the large flower cart one was the one that was missing and with not enough time to go on a full fledged hunt for a mate, I switched out all four with matching casters. The glass was fine, so I decoupaged a vintage cheese poster UNDER the glass, making it perfect for drips and spills. Nate trimmed a scrap of particle board (nice and light) that serves as a platform for all the corks.
Yes, real corks consumed over the years by us. Cutting them in half made a great flat surface to glue them to the board. Cutting cork is incredibly easy, by the way, just a sharp knife will do. I highly encourage you to try experiment with corks in crafts or try this.

I have one more biggie that I am trying to finish. It involves a birdcage, an old lamp and a large peacock. I had a brainstorm last night, so if I can pull it together today...I will show it off tomorrow. Wish me luck.
