I get asked it a lot, but I really do find inspiration in all sorts of places. Case in point- this Spring, I pulled out a page from the Crate and Barrel catalogue of some colored totes .
The combo of colors just popped from the page... the yellow, jade, pink and orange were just perfect together. So, I filed it away until I found a use for the palette. Then a few months later, while on a chair rescue mission, I find a set of 4 plastic molded chairs, all in a worn navy blue color.
It didn't take more than a few days, until that old page came out and became their new color scheme.
Aren't they fantastic ! How cool around a dinner table or scattered about a large living room as extra seating.
To add to the sleekness as well as the durability...they have also received a nice coating of poly.
Love, love, love it when an idea comes to fruition...and better than you had hoped at that.
