I just dropped off my first new piece for the show at Hatch next week.
Many might remember this diamond in the rough. Great shapes and size, but just very 1 dimensional.
Well- no more. Spring has sprung.
Yes I know I am the NOVEMBER artist, but it just felt like Spring to me.
Painting the old frame a fresh green didn't hurt.

Then, by using left over paint, floral stems and of course a smidge of glitter, the piece started coming to life.

3-D blooms
some chartreuse moss
and a coffee ground road round out the revamp.

As a reminder the show is next Friday 11-11-11 at Hatch Art House. More sneak peeks to follow, but check out the invite on Facebook...I would love to see you all there.
